GeoGoing services are made available for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use GeoGoing services to sell a product or service. If you want to make commercial use of GeoGoing services, you must enter into an agreement with GeoGoing in order to do so. Please contact us for more information.


Changes In Terms and Conditions and GeoGoing Service

We may modify or terminate our services from time to time, for any reason, and without notice, including the right to terminate with or without notice, without liability to you, any other user or any third party. We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service from time to time without notice. Please review these Terms of Service from time to time so that you will be apprised of any changes.

GeoGoing disclaims any responsibility for the deletion, failure to store, misdelivery, or untimely delivery of any information or material. GeoGoing disclaims any responsibility for any harm resulting from downloading or accessing any information or material on the Internet through GEOGOING SERVICES.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL GEOGOING OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO ANY USER ON ACCOUNT OF THAT USER'S USE OR MISUSE OF OR RELIANCE ON GEOGOING SERVICES. ARISING FROM ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SUBJECT MATTER HEREOF SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO PREVENT RECOVERY OF DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHETHER SUCH CLAIM IS BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, (EVEN IF GEOGOING OR ITS LICENSORS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES). SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY WHETHER THE DAMAGES ARISE FROM USE OR MISUSE OF AND RELIANCE ON GEOGOING SERVICES, FROM INABILITY TO USE GEOGOING SERVICES, OR FROM THE INTERRUPTION, SUSPENSION, OR TERMINATION OF GEOGOING SERVICES (INCLUDING SUCH DAMAGES INCURRED BY THIRD PARTIES). THIS LIMITATION SHALL ALSO APPLY WITH RESPECT TO DAMAGES INCURRED BY REASON OF OTHER SERVICES OR GOODS RECEIVED THROUGH OR ADVERTISED ON GEOGOING SERVICES OR RECEIVED THROUGH ANY LINKS PROVIDED IN GEOGOING SERVICES, AS WELL AS BY REASON OF ANY INFORMATION OR ADVICE RECEIVED THROUGH OR ADVERTISED ON GEOGOING SERVICES OR RECEIVED THROUGH ANY LINKS PROVIDED IN GEOGOING SERVICES. THIS LIMITATION SHALL ALSO APPLY, WITHOUT LIMITATION, TO THE COSTS OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, LOST PROFITS, OR LOST DATA. SUCH LIMITATION SHALL FURTHER APPLY WITH RESPECT TO THE PERFORMANCE OR NON-PERFORMANCE OF GEOGOING SERVICES OR ANY INFORMATION OR MERCHANDISE THAT APPEARS ON, OR IS LINKED OR RELATED IN ANY WAY TO, GEOGOING SERVICES. SUCH LIMITATION SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING ANY FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Without limiting the foregoing, under no circumstances shall GeoGoing or its licensors be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, forces, or causes beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, Internet failures, computer equipment failures, telecommunication equipment failures, other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labor disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, shortages of labor or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties.


Miscellaneous Provisions

These Terms of Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in Finland, without giving effect to its conflict of laws provisions or your actual state or country of residence. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Service to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms of Service will continue in full force and effect.


These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes and replaces all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding such subject matter. Any waiver of any provision of the Terms of Service will be effective only if in writing and signed by GeoGoing.

  • This privacy policy covers how GeoGoing treats personal information that it collects and receives. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable, like your name, address, email address or phone number.

Information Collection and Usage

General Information

  • GeoGoing collects personal information when you register with GeoGoing to use GeoGoing services or to post content on GeoGoing services.
  • GeoGoing automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or mobile device, including your IP address, ambient technical data (your default gateway's MAC ID, GSM/3G cellId, Wifi access points' MAC IDs, GPS coordinates etc.), cookie, and the page you request.
  • GeoGoing uses information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, research, and anonymous internal reporting.

IP Addresses

IP Addresses are automatically reported by your browser each time you view a web page. Your IP address is stored in our log files.

IP addresses may be used for various purposes, including:

  • To diagnose or service technology problems reported by our users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific web company or ISP.
  • To tailor advertising based on geographic area or other information derived from your IP address.
  • To estimate GeoGoing usage patterns from specific geographical regions.

Ambient Data

The GeoGoing Software may use available ambient data as the default gateway's MAC ID in your LAN ("Mac ID"), identification of GSM/3G cell towers ('Cell ID'), MAC IDs of Wifi access points ("AP MAC ID") and GPS coordinates of attached GPS receivers ("GPS") to guess your location. GeoGoing does not track your location unless you explicitly choose to do so.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

  • When you post a comment, a tag or a photo, your screen name or alias that you are posting under is visible to other users.
  • If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
  • GeoGoing may be required to disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the GeoGoing Terms of Service.
  • GeoGoing may share anonymous demographic information with business partners. No personally identifiable information will ever be used without your permission.
  • GeoGoing does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested or when we have your explicit permission.
  • It may be necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of GeoGoing's Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.
  • We will transfer information about you if GeoGoing is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, GeoGoing will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the GeoGoing web site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
